Nationalpark Bike Tour – category medium – 4 nights in a twin room, incl. breakfast, transport of luggage from one hotel to another, documentation and Bike-Explorer map 1:80’000. Prices start at CHF 434.00 pp. Availability: 30.05.2015-25.10.2015 – dependent on weather and snow conditions.

The unique landscape of the national park region will be circled in various stages – and all that without any luggage. Classical: alpine passes, flowing single trails, fast descents, deserted valleys, nature pure and passing the highest Swiss pain forest in Europe. All that awaits you on the Nationalpark Bike-Tour, during which you circle the only Swiss national park. The route is consistent with the Nationalpark Bike-Marathon route (Swiss mobile route Nr. 444) and is easily traceable, even without maps.

Stage description:
Scuol-Val Müstair, 34 km, 1’140 m of altitude. Starting in Scuol (1‘250m) towards S-charl (1‘810m), passing the Swiss pain forest “God da Tamangur” up to Alp Astras (2’135) and further to the Pass da Costainas (2’251). Steep descent to Alp Champatsch (2’090m), along the forest road to Lü (1’920m) and finishing at the stage Val Müstair.

Val Müstair-Livigno, 35km, 1’120 m of altitude. Starting slightly above the stage in Sta. Maria through the Val Vau up to Döss Radond (2’234m), further through the Val Mora. Starting at Alp Mora (2’220m) you’ll find a demanding singletrail to Passo Val Mora (1’952m). Right after the Lago S. Giacomo di Fraéle (1’949m) follows an ascent to Alpisella (2’299m). Finally, a steep descent on a well-maintained route to Lago di Livigno and to Livigno (1’810m).

Livigno-S-chanf, 22 km, 910 m of altitude. The route starts off to Rifugio Casanna and across the Pass Chaschauna (2’694m). The ascent is bold (passage of pushing), the descent offers a difficult singletrail right at the start. The following descent from Alp Chaschauna (2’210m) to S-chanf (1’665m) helps to forget all struggles.

S-chanf-Scuol, 47 km, 840 m of altitude. This is the “easiest” stage. Across ascents and descents to Zernez (1’485m), Susch, Lavin (1’387m), up to Guarda (1’653m) and Ardez. Final ascents before and after Ftan (1’700m), final descent to Scuol (1’250m).
