Already mentioned as an inn in 1254, the Chasa Chalavaina is one of the oldest hotels in Switzerland. In spring 2022, it was taken over by a foundation and carefully renovated to preserve its unique charm. Each of the 18 individually designed rooms captivates with historic furniture from different eras, ranging from 16th-century treasures to timeless lighting that blends history with elegance.

In the historic Swiss stone pine dining room, guests enjoy the finest local cuisine with regional specialties from the Engadine, as well as a warm, regional breakfast. Located directly opposite the UNESCO World Heritage Monastery of St. John, the Hotel Chasa Chalavaina in Müstair is the perfect starting point for inspiring explorations in the Val Müstair Biosphere Reserve.
